Valerie Sluth, MBA, FCMC, has been providing management advisory services for over 20 years first as a member of an international consulting firm and now as Partner in the Saskatchewan-based Praxis. Val is a trusted advisor who specializes in strategy, organizational effectiveness, evaluation, and governance. She has gained a reputation for taking difficult strategic issues, complicated by multiple stakeholders with diverse interests, and enabling the emergence of collaborative solutions. With a background in organizational development, Val understands the impact of culture, leadership and change management and builds this knowledge in her client work. She is a facilitative leader always ensuring that her client has the skills and expertise needed to sustain ongoing success.

Specific to this project, Val has worked in the areas of funds development strategies for a number of organizations. She has taken courses toward the CFRE designation.

Val’s consulting client base includes municipal, provincial, and federal government ministries, large NGOs, and associations. She has worked extensively with organizations in the human services sector and has adapted many strategy and performance measurement tools to align with the public and social interests of these organizations.

In addition to her work in Canada, Val collaborates around the globe on issues pertaining to the management consulting profession. She displays a commitment to the advancement of the management consulting profession having served as president of the Saskatchewan Institute of Certified Management Consultants, as a past board member of CMC-Canada, and is currently one of four Canadian Trustees appointed to the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes.
